Suggested Training for All FCACS Volunteers
FCACS volunteers are encouraged, but not required, to complete the following courses to build core competencies in incident management and emergency operations. These courses are available through two primary sources:
Online Independent Study (FEMA)
Complete these courses at your own pace through FEMA's Emergency Management Institute:

ICS Curriculum:
- ICS-100: Introduction to the Incident Command System
- ICS-200: ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents
NIMS Curriculum:
- IS-700: National Incident Management System, An Introduction
- IS-703: NIMS Resource Management
- IS-706: NIMS Intrastate Mutual Aid – An Introduction
- IS-800: National Response Framework, An Introduction
EOC Functions:
- IS-2200: Basic Emergency Operations Center Functions
In-Person/Resident Training (WOHS & Local EM)

Advanced ICS (Classroom-based):
- ICS-300: Intermediate ICS for Expanding Incidents

- G-191: Incident Command System/Emergency Operations Center Interface
- E/L/G-2300: Intermediate Emergency Operations Center Functions
Note: ICS-300/400, G-191, and E/L/G-2300 are coordinated through local Emergency Management Agencies. Contact Fremont County Emergency Management for course availability in our area.
Cost & Logistics
- Training fees: Free for FCACS volunteers credentialed through Fremont County Emergency Management
- Travel expenses: Responsibility of the individual trainee
- Carpooling: FCACS is happy to help coordinate ride-sharing to offset travel costs — contact us if interested
